For the price the OZL-T12 can’t be beat however there are a couple of shortcomings. The case and solder tip are completely ungrounded. Note in the first photo the ground lug of the mains plug is not used so the chassis has no ground. Further the soldering handle uses a less common 4-pin plug with only three of the pins used. The ground wire typically on the fourth pin is vacant so the “ESD Safe” label is highly questionable. The PID function is not programmable as on the higher end units however this is not an issue for most users. Note too that there are no heat sinks on the power supply board as the case is used as the heat sink. The case is entirely aluminum and generally the build quality is good. The claim of 75 watts power is probably overrated however the unit has ample power for most applications. All in all I am pleased with station.
